Santa Rosa, California--This is "Somewhere over the rainbow"!
Gorgeous RainBow ending at my Home Office! Well, at least on my Street here in Santa Rosa. There was a time when many thought California was that fabled land “over the rainbow” of which Judy Garland sang so truly in Wizard of Oz. To hear Judy sing her trademark song click here. Interesting questions to be answered in the lyrics of that song of which I post now:
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?
